The Obituary of Ellen Jones Officiating Ministers: Jerry Holland, Jerry M. Holland and Virgil Gibson Ellen Jones was born on March 29, 1914 and passed away on November 4, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center in Richmond, KY. at the age of 97 years. She was residing at Richmond, KY. at the time of her passing. Ellen was the Daughter of the late Sam Osborne and the late Mary Mosley Osborne and the Wife of the late Pleasie "Fruit Pole" Jones. By occupation Ellen was a Homemaker and was a Member of the Holy Sanctuary Church. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County (Bear Branch) with the exception of living in Richmond, KY. for the past 13 years. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Sam Osbourne and Mary Mosley Osbourne; Husband: Pleasie "Fruit Pole" Jones; Son: Roger Jones; Brothers: Gillie, Shelvie, Pearl, Earl, Sam Jr and Theo Osbourne; Sisters: Fannie Sizemore, Hattie Burns and Zona; Grandson: Gary Holland. Ellen leaves the following relatives surviving: Daughter: Imogene Wilson & Charles of Kettering, OH.; Sisters: Nola Rice of Sizerock, KY. and Ann Jones of Bear Branch, KY.; Brother: J.C. Osbourne of Hyden, KY.; Grandchildren: Martha Gibson & Virgil of Richmond, KY. and Eddie Asher of Dayton, OH; Special Friends: James & Shirley Lamb of Berea, KY.; Special Nephew: Donnie Holland & Susan of Bear Branch, KY.; Special Niece: Vickie Smallwood; 10 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; A host of Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Ellen Jones will be conducted on Sunday ~ November 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bob Fork Holiness Church with Jerry Holland, Jerry M. Holland and Virgil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery at Bear Branch, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Jamie Gibson, John Gibson, Billy Holland, Donnie Holland, Eddie Asher and Gary Lee Sizemore.
