Kevin Napier Mr. Merle Osborne was born on January 29, 1950 in Hyden, KY. and passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. He was 63 years, 1 month & 13 days of age at the time of his passing. He was the Son of Georgia Jones Osborne & the late Shelvie Osborne. Merle spent his formative years at Sizerock, KY. & had homes at both Sizerock, KY. & Dayton, Ohio since 2002. Merle had been a resident of Dayton, Ohio for the past 45 years. By occupation he was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the City of Dayton, Ohio. He was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, sports & being outdoors. Merle Osborne was Preceded in Death by his: Father: Shelvie Osborne & Brother: R.B. He leaves the following relatives surviving: Mother: Georgia Jones Osborne of Sizerock, KY.; Wife: Janet Osborne of Sizerock, KY.; Son: Jason Merle Osborne of Dayton, Ohio; Brothers: Delbert Osborne & Karen of Dayton, Ohio, Bill Osborne & Wendy of Sizerock, KY. & Roger Osborne of Dayton, Ohio; Sisters: Joyce Elam of Dayton, Ohio & Zona Turner & Robert of Hyden, KY. Also a host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. Funeral services for Mr. Merle Osborne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. - Saturday - March 16, 2013 at the Sizerock Baptist Church at Sizerock, KY. with Rev. Jesse Martin & Rev. Kevin Napier officiating. The interment will follow in the Woods Cemetery at Hyden, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Wayne Elam, Robert Osborne, Delbert Osborne, Jr., Shelvie Andrew Osborne, Jonathan Osborne & Gary Elam III. The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Turner, Sherman Jones, Lester Jones Jr., Stanley Rice, Roy Rice & Gary Elam Sr. Visitation will be at the Church on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 5:00 P.M.
