Williams was born July 19, 1921, departed this life on July 30, 2009 at her residence, 1817 Big Rock Road, Yeaddiss, Ky. She was 88 years, 0 months & 11 days. Polly was born at Yeaddiss, Ky., the daughter of the late, Riley Hendrix & Orga Lewis Hendrix. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., By occupation she was retired from the Leslie Co. School System, where she worked for 22 years at the Hayes Lewis Elementary School in the lunch room. She was a member of the Cutshin Bible Church & affiliated with the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ.Polly enjoyed crocheting, cooking & reading. Polly H. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Denver Williams,2 sons: Alonzo Williams & Billy Joe Causey, 1 daughter: Wanda Faye Slusher, 1 grandson: Billy Joe Causey, Jr., 2 brothers: Dewey & Lee Hendrix & 1 sister: Marilyn Sizemore She leaves the following relatives surviving:1 son: Paul Darvin Williams of Yeaddiss, Ky., 1 daughter: Betty Jean Madden & Douglas of Yeaddiss, Ky., 2 brothers: Sammy Hendrix of Yeaddiss, KY. & Lill Hendrix of Yeaddiss, KY., 1 sister: Mallie Gross of Yeaddiss, Ky., 11 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive. The funeral service for Polly H. Williams will be conducted Sunday, August 2, 2009 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ @ Smilax, Ky., with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis & Rev. Jack Jackson officiating. The interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery (Persimmon Fork), Yeaddiss, Ky.Friends may call for visitation Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Church from 6:00-9:00 P.M.
