The obituary of Mrs. Faye Jones Shell Officiating Minister: Rev. Teddy Couch Mrs. Faye Jones Shell born June 25, 1917 departed this life on October 24, 2009 at the age of 92 years, 3 months, & 29 days old. She was born at Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late Samuel Jones and the late Sarah Howard Jones. Faye was a faithful member of the Rockhouse Baptist Church and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary Leslie County DAV Chapter #133, and she enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and attending church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Samuel and Sarah Jones ; husband: Albert Shell; a host of brothers and sisters. Mrs. Faye Jones Shell leaves surviving the following relatives: two daughters: Leta Joyce Bailey & Bill of Hoskinston, KY, Donna Gail Clark & Rod of London, KY; five sons: Pete Shell & Joan of Hyden, Ky, James Roberts & Linda of Florida, Gary Shell & Ruth of Hoskinston, KY, Bob Shell of Hoskinston, KY, and Larry Shell & Linda of Hyden, KY; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Faye is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Jones Shell will be conducted at 1:00 p.m Monday - October 26, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, Kentucky with Rev. Teddy Couch officiating. Friends may call for visitation at 6:00 p.m. Sunday- October 25, 2009 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Britton Cemetery at Chappell, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. The following will serve as pallbearers: David Clark, Donnie Clark, Danny Clark, James Shell, Tim Shell, Paul Bailey, Ricky Shell and Dr. Dwayne Sizemore.
