The obituary of Mr. Charles Edward Feltner Hendrix Officiating Ministers: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and John Newell Mr. Charles Edward Feltner Hendrix was born on December 25, 1968 and departed this life on October 3, 2009 at the age of 40 years, 9 months and 8 days old. He was the son of William Hendrix and Nellie Feltner Slone. By occupation he was a Carpenter and Block Mason and worked in construction. Charles was affiliated with the Methodist Church and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, KY. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ginsenging, caring for his dogs, but most of all being with his family. Mr. Charles Hendrix was preceded in death by four sisters: Betty Hendrix, Sharon Hendrix, Teressa Griffie and Melissa Griffie. He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Nellie Feltner Slone of Yeaddiss, KY.; Father: William Hendrix of Hazard, KY.; wife and life partner: Deborah Couch of Hyden, KY; two sons: Michael Couch and Charles Hendrix of Hyden, KY.; three daughters: Ashley Hendrix, Candice Hendrix and Lauren Hendrix all of Hyden, KY.; two brothers: William Lee Dixon of Hazard, KY. and Chester David Dixon of California; two sisters: Laura Gross & Clayton of Yeaddiss, KY. and Vivian Baker & Jesse of Yerkes, KY. Mr. Charles Hendrix is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Feltner Hendrix will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday - October 7, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and John Newell officiating. Burial will follow in the Gross Family Cemetery located at Yeaddiss (Wolfe Creek), KY. under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. The following will serve as pallbearers: Justin Coots, Mike Callahan, Chris Callahan, James Callahan, Billy Hall, Aaron Feltner, Joeneil Feltner, and William Dixon.
