Alice Hendrix

    Ms. Alice Hendrix, Age 80 of Yeaddiss, Ky., passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice care center, Hazard, Ky. Alice was born February 26, 1942, at Yeaddiss, KY the daughter of the late Arnold Pennington and late Nancy Miniard Pennington. She was  retired from Hyden Nursing Home where she was employed in the dietary department as a cook. Alice was a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of living 12 years in Seymour, IN, and 9 years in Campton, Ky. She was a member of the Smilax Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ. Alice enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, attending church, flowers, and spending time with her family.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl Pennington, sister Ann Hendrix, and one infant brother James Pennington. She leaves the following relatives surviving one Daughter Rita Gilbert and Greg, of Hyden, KY., two Sons Rick Hendrix and Malissa of Berea, KY., and Randall Hendrix and Julie of Campton, KY. Three Brothers Ray Pennington Of Dayton, OH., John Pennington of Peru, IN., and Junior Pennington of Peru, IN. Two Sisters Elizabeth Petrey of Peru, IN., and Mallie Haynes of Hazard, KY. Grandchildren Austin Hendrix and Carlea, Jordan Hendrix and Kailynn, Terry Hendrix and Anna, Kortney Hendrix, Caden Gilbert, Kennedy Hendren. One Great Grandchild Adalyn Hendrix. Special Nieces Phylliss Coots, Misty Harris, and Joyce Lewis, along with a host of other cherished relatives and friends.

Funeral: Tuesday March 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Smilax Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, KY.

Officiating Minister: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

Interment: Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Smilax, KY.

Visitation: Monday March 14, 2022 at 6:00 P.M.  at the Smilax Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, KY.
