Alta Ruth Sandlin

Alta Ruth Sandlin passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center, in Pikeville, KY. She was 90 years old. Alta Ruth was born, March 9, 1931 at Kaliopi, Ky., the daughter of the late, Charlie Sandlin & Ella Baker Sandlin. Alta Ruth had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation she was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, yard & house work and especially loved spending time with her family.

Alta Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John A. Sandlin and Matt B. Sandlin. She leaves the following relatives surviving; 1 sister, Ruby Woods, Hyden, KY. and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY. 

Minister: Edmond Barger

Interment: Sandlin Cemetery, Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: Jerry Osborne, Brian Scott Woods, J.D. Sandlin, Kevin Sandlin, Marisa Osborne and Nicholas

Visitation: Wed. Oct. 6th at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
