Amos Asher

Mr. Amos Asher, born November 22, 1934 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late, Jackson Asher and the late Bertha Feltner Asher. He passed away at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, KY on Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was 88 years old. Amos had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation Amos was a retired coal miner. Amos was a member of the Mozelle Pentecostal Church at Mozelle, KY. Amos enjoyed hunting, fishing and he loved horses.

Amos was preceded in death by his beloved parents, cherished son, Dexter Asher, special brothers, Dexter Asher, Shelby Asher, Ed Asher, Crafter Asher & Cova Asher, special sister, Francis Sizemore & special half sister, Orpha Howard. He leaves the following relatives surviving; loving & devoted wife, Evone Bailey Asher, Mozelle, KY, cherished son, Zandall Asher & Marian, Winchester, KY, cherished daughter, Frieda Asher, Mozelle, KY, special daughter-in-law, Margaret Asher, Somerset, KY, four treasured grandchildren, Jeremy Asher, Makyla Asher, Rachal Faulkner & Jordan Asher & two treasured great grandchildren, Justin Asher & Keaton Asher Breitenbach. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.  

Funeral: Friday, July 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mozelle Pentecostal Church, Mozelle, KY.

Ministers: Graylen Short & Brian Overbee

Interment: Asher Family Cemetery, Mozelle, KY.

Visitation: Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. at the Church
