The obituary of Arlie Jacob "Jake" Hoskins
Mr. Arlie Jacob “Jake” Hoskins born July 16th, 1998 departed this life Sunday, May 1st, 2022. Jake was born at Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden, Ky., the son of Tony Hoskins and Devona Woods Hoskins. Jake was a yard broker in the lumber yards for over five years. He was of the Baptist faith and a life-long resident of Leslie County. Jake enjoyed going to flea markets, collecting knives and basketball cards, riding his side by side, fishing and hunting. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his children. Jake was preceded in death by his grandmother-in-law, Edith Osborne and cousin, Bobby Nolan. Mr. Arlie Jacob “Jake” Hoskins leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife; Courtney Woods Hoskins of Hyden, Ky. His beloved parents Tony Hoskins of Essie, Ky, Devona Woods Hoskins & Elbert Hollen, of Bear Branch, Ky. Three treasured sons; Arlie Robert Gavin Hoskins, Jacob Reed Hoskins, and Jackson Carter Lee Hoskins all of Hyden, Ky., father-in-law and mother-in-law; Jerry Lee Woods & Denise of Hyden, Ky., mother-in-law; Kristy Powers of Hyden, Ky., special father-in-law and mother-in-law; Scott and Pamela Hoskins of Hyden, Ky., paternal grandparents; Lee and Donna Hoskins of Essie, Ky., maternal grandparents; Arlie Woods Jr. and Billie Sue of Manchester, grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law; Lloyd and Wanda Powers of Hyden, Ky, and grandfather-in-law; Robert “Pete” Osborne of Hyden Ky., two sisters; Kara Rochelle Steely and Gilbert of Manchester, Ky., Brittany Leanne Hoskins and Josh Johnson of Manchester, Ky., nieces; Addison Faith Steely, Jocelyn Esme Johnson, Kara Peyton Collins, Khloe Laurynn Collins, nephews; Greyson Bennett Woods, Colson Wayne Johnson, brothers-in-law; Ryan Woods and Katie of Middlefork, Ky., Austin Hoskins and Megan of Georgetown, Ky., Christopher Wayne Johnson of Hyden, Ky., and sister-in law; Tonda Denise Collins and Terry of Hazard, Ky., special friends; Christina Holt, Joe Gragg, Chase McQueen, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
