Arvel "Rex" Hensley

Arvel "Rex" Hensley of Wooton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the age of 78. Rex was born February 28, 1940 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Delmon Hensley & Nettie Bowling Hensley. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he had retired from Whitaker Trucking as a driver & mechanic. Rex was a devoted member of the McIntosh Baptist Church at Wooton, KY. He was an avid gun trader & gun-smith. He enjoyed playing music & riding motorcycles.

Arvel "Rex" Hensley was preceded in death by his beloved parents, 1 daughter, April Hensley, 2 brothers, Leonard Hensley & John C. Hensley & 4 sisters, June Melton, Geraldine Miniard, Birtie Lowe & Pearl Baker Lewis. He leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted wife, Ruth B. Hensley of Wooton, KY., 1 beloved son, Arvel Anthony Hensley & Tiffany of Wooton, KY., 2 sisters, Blanche Lewis of Hyden, KY. & Lilly Oliver of Fusonia, KY. & 1 treasured grandson, Chandler Anthony Grant Hensley. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

FUNERAL: Saturday, February 16, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

MINISTER: Rev. Amos Hamblin & Rev. Chris Sale

INTERMENT: Delmon Hensley Cemetery, Wooton, KY.

VISITATION: Friday, February 15, 2019 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
