Betty Melton Bowling

Betty Lou Melton Bowling of Wooton, KY. passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, KY. at the age of 73. Betty was born on January 20, 1947 at Wooton, KY the daughter of the late Arthur Melton and the late Fannie Barger Melton.  By occupation Betty was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, four wheeling and going to church. Betty was a faithful and devoted member of the McIntosh Church of God  for many years. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her loving and devoted husband, Warren Bowling, two brothers: Arthur, Jr and Bob Melton, two sisters: Marie Colwell and Ann Barger.  She is survived by one beloved son, David Webb Bowling(Tracy) of London, KY., two beloved daughters, Fannie Fugate(Larry) of Slemp, KY. & Betty Ann Kilburn(Jerry) of Wooton, KY., one sister: Thelma Hensley of Wooton, KY, six treasured grandchildren, Larry Wayne Fugate, Garry Fugate, Jerry Don Kilburn, Eric Kilburn, Robin Collett & Casey Collett & seven treasured great grandchildren also survive. VISITATION: 5:00 p.m. - Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at the church.

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Warren & Betty Bowling Cemetery at Wooton, KY.
