Blossom Ku'ulei Pires Morgan, born on August 18, 1936, in Honolulu, Hawaii, gracefully departed this life on January 5, 2025, in Wooton, Kentucky. She leaves behind a legacy marked by her dedication as a nurse for nearly 50 years, a life dedicated to healing and serving others with care and compassion.
Blossom was a proud high school graduate and a graduate of nursing school, embodying the spirit of lifelong learning and commitment to her profession. Blossom was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Her career in nursing was not just a job; it was a calling that allowed her to touch countless lives. Known for her friendly, outgoing, and caring personality, she created an environment of warmth and support for her patients and colleagues alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Blossom's proudest roles were those of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She nurtured a loving family and actively involved herself in their lives, enriching their experiences with her wisdom and affection. Blossom's passion for gardening and tending to her flowers mirrored her nurturing spirit, as she cultivated beauty not only in her garden but also in the hearts of her loved ones. Whether it was cooking delicious meals or spending time outdoors, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Blossom is survived by her cherished children: George Morgan, Christine Perry, and Stormy Hicks (Phillip). The love she bestowed upon her grandchildren—Heather Adams (JR), Michaela Banks (Greg), Elaina Barger (Keith), Adam Asher (Lauren), Jenna Asher, Harvey Chandler Morgan, Sara McKenzie Morgan, Gage Perry, Zachary Perry, and Melissa Preston; great-grandchildren: Alex Barrett, Amelia Adams, Kaida Banks, Koen Jankowski, Tate Jones, Garrett Barger, Ivory Barger, Kate Tilden, and Morgan—will resonate through generations.
She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Christopher Morgan; beloved parents, Dewey and Blossom Pires; son, Ernest; grandson, Ethan Grant, and two brothers, Cyril and Sonny. Blossom's memory will be honored at her memorial service on January 18, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at Wooton First Baptist Church in Wooton, Kentucky with dinner following the service.
