Bobbie Jean Hensley Vance

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Hensley Vance was born November 5, 1941 in Leslie County, KY. Bobbie is the daughter of the late, Seldon Hensley and the late, Carmol Morgan Hensley. Bobbie passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at her residence. She was 82 years old. Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. By occupation Bobbie was a Interior Decorator and painter. She was a member of the Wooton Baptist Church at Wooton, KY. Bobbie enjoyed quilting, sewing, interior designing (especially working with wallpaper) and she especially loved spending time with her family, especially treasured grandchildren & treasured great grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, loving and devoted husband whom she married on July 6, 1962, Clyde Vance, brothers, Harold Hensley & Ralph Hensley and his wife, Patsy, infant sister, Lena & brother-in-law, Willie Callahan. She leaves the following relatives surviving; two cherished sons, Clyde Conway  (Mary) & William Seldon Vance (Misty) both of Hyden, KY., one brother, James Young (Vanessa), Mt. Olivet, KY., one sister, Bernice Callahan, Avawam, KY., four treasured grandchildren, Brandon Vance, Andrew Vance (Sommer), Courtney Couch (Jake) and Declan Seldon Vance , five treasured great grandchildren, Brayden, Paisley, Parker, Lainey & Peyton and special caregiver & most of all friend, Georgia Walker. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Jamie Roberts

Interment: Seldon Hensley Cemetery, Wooton, KY.

Pallbearers: William Vance, Conway Vance, Brandon Vance, Andrew Vance, Jeremy Walker and Jake Couch

Honorary Pallbearer: Declan Seldon Vance & Brayden Vance

Visitation: Saturday, Nov. 18th at 12:00 Noon until time of funeral at the Funeral Home Chapel
