Brenda Sue Collett

Mrs. Brenda Sue Batey Collett was born, November 23, 1956 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Brenda is the daughter of the late, Earl Batey, Jr and June Hunley Batey. Brenda passed away at her residence, Friday, August 23, 2024. She was 67 years old. Brenda was a loving homemaker. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, flower gardening, going to concerts and traveling. 

Brenda is preceded in death by her beloved parents, loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Rondal Ray Collett and one brother, Jeffery Batey. She is survived by the following relatives, one cherished son, Brian Collett, Roark, KY., two cherished daughters, Stephanie Kimberlin and Eric, Manchester, KY and Jennifer Collett, Manchester, KY, one brother, Dennis Meihn and Cheryl, Taylor, MI, treasured grandchildren, Steven, Brett & Kita, Brice & BJ, Lexi & Dalton, Tayler, Tanner, Landon, Kelsee, Connor, Rayeanna, Jordan, Nathan, Brendan, Jamie Sue, James Jr. and Jarred, a host of great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Rita Collett and Sherlene Smith & Dave, brothers-in-law, Larry Collett & Brenda and Burgie Dean Collett, a host of treasured nieces & nephews and her special pet dog, Prissy. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Monday, Sept. 2, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Visitation: Mon. Sept. 2th at 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at the Funeral Home Chapel

Minister: Rev. Robert Amundsen

Interment: Collett Family Cemetery, Essie, KY.
