Carla Mae Hopson

Carla Mae Hopson passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at her residence at East Bernstadt, KY. She was 38 years old. Carla was born March 18, 1984 in Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of Ray Hopson and Mildred Davidson Hopson.  She had lived in Leslie County all her childhood and teenage years then moved to Laurel County where she was residing at the time of her passing. By occupation she had worked in nursing for Home Health, she also had worked at Hometown Pharmacy and Couch's Exxon in Hyden. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church in London. Carla enjoyed video games, loved her dogs, Sadie and Zoie and she especially loved spending time with her family.

She leaves the following relatives surviving; her beloved mother, Mildred Davidson of Wooton, KY, her beloved father, Ray Hopson (Viola) of Somerset, KY, step-father who loved her as his own daughter, Carlos Brock, maternal grandmother, Edith Asher of Hyden, KY, one brother, Eddie Hopson (Ana) of Marietta, Georgia, two sisters, Saushia  Hopson of Somerset, KY and Angelina Burgess (Chaz) of Hazard, KY, foster daughter, Hope, two aunts, Mary and Tammy, two nephews, Karson and Bryant, one niece, Jackie and life-long friends, Gwen Gilbert and Gloria Blevins.  Also a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral: Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Carlos Brock

Interment: Hurricane Cemetery, Hyden, KY.

Visitation: Saturday, May 7th at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
