Cleo Howard

Mrs. Cleo Howard, 93 passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. Cleo was born May 8, 1927 at Harlan, KY., the daughter of the late, William Earl Miniard & Mary Ann Melton Miniard. She had been a resident of Leslie Co. for the past 65 years. By occupation Cleo was owner & operator of Howard's Shoe Store. She was a member of the Saw Branch Pentecostal Church at Wooton, KY. Cleo enjoyed music (especially bluegrass), attending festivals, quilting, sewing & crocheting.

Cleo was preceded in death by her beloved parents, loving & devoted husband, James Howard, one beloved son, Bruce Howard and a host of brothers and sisters. She leaves the following relatives surviving; one beloved son, Wallace Howard (Judy), Michigan, five beloved daughters, Fern Mullins, Yeaddiss, KY., Barbara Ann Lewis, Indiana, Shirley Howard (Kyle Harmon), Indiana, Edna Howard, Wooton, KY. and Juanita Wells (Denny), Wooton, KY., two brothers, Paul Miniard, Wooton, KY. and Michael Miniard, Charleston, S.C., three sisters, Sarah Miniard, South Carolina, Lois Wells (Eldon), Smilax, KY. and Marcella Coots, Tennessee, ten treasured grandchildren, Jennifer Fraley, Jamie Dale Wells, Josh Mullins, Ricky Mullins, Christopher Gross, Heather Williamson, Curtis Wayne Lewis, Chad Bradshaw Lewis, Phyllis Lewis, Jeffery L. Lewis and wife Martha, eleven treasured great grandchildren, special friend, Eugene Coots & beloved dog "Puggy". Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral: Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

Interment: Howard Cemetery, Wooton, KY.

Pallbearers: Jamie Wells, Josh Mullins, Denny Wells, Tyler Mullins and Eugene Coots

Visitation: Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
