Covey Ray Lewis

Covey Ray Lewis was born October 20, 1971 and departed this life on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at his residence. Covey was 51 years old.  He was born at Hyden, KY the son of Karen Estridge Lewis and the late Leonard Lewis.  Covey was a heavy equipment operator and a life-long resident of Leslie Co.  He was always mechanically gifted and was very skilled at auto & heavy equipment repair.  Covey enjoyed fishing, ATV riding and his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially attending and supporting his daughters, Kasey and Kennedy's athletic events.  He was preceded in death by his cherished father, Leonard Lewis,  daughter, Ashley Sams, granddaughter, Makynli Lewis, paternal grandparents, Logan and Bertha Lewis & maternal grandparents, Marion & Jean Estridge.  Mr. Covey Ray Lewis leaves the following relatives surviving, loving and devoted wife, Krista Hamrick of Chappell, KY, cherished mother, Karen Estridge Lewis of Corbin, KY, beloved daughters, Lexi Sergent & husband Charles, beloved twin daughters, Kasey and Kennedy Lewis, Emily Lewis & Amber Lewis, beloved sister, Teri Lynn Bussiere & husband, Peter, and half-sister, Heather Collett, six treasured grandchildren, Kendallyn Lewis, Bryson Lewis, Karsen Lewis, Alaina Presley, Kimber Lewis & Remi Lewis.   You may offer your condolences to the family at www.dwayne walker funeral home.
