THE OBITUARY OF MR. CURTIS LEE GRIFFITTS

     Mr. Curtis Griffitts born February 10, 1955 departed this life on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. following a long illness. Curtis was 67 years old. He was born at Hoskinston, KY., the son of the late, Curley Griffitts & Mavie Pennington Griffitts. Curtis was a life long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he worked as a security guard. He attended Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church prior to his illness. Curtis enjoyed going to church, reading his Bible, basketball & spending time with his family.

Curtis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Curley Griffitts & Mavie Pennington Griffitts, one brother, Melborne Griffitts, two sisters, Alice Collett & Eunice Sizemore, two nephews, Kelvin Sizemore & Kenneth Sizemore & one niece, April Sizemore. Curtis is survived by two brothers, Robert Lynn Griffitts, Hyden, KY. & Donnie Griffitts, Mason, Ohio, three sisters, Sarah Hoskins, Hyden, KY., Loretta Simpson & husband, Boone, Hoskinston, KY. & Linda Harris, Bledsoe, KY., also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Eugene "Friday" Roberts, Rev. Ralph Brown & Rev. David Pennington

Interment: Albert Morgan Cemetery, Essie, KY.

Visitation: Wed. Jan. 25th at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
