Danny Dale Maggard

Mr. Danny Dale Maggard of Hyden, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023. He passed away at the Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, Kentucky. He was 70 years old. Danny was born August 25, 1952 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late, Odean Maggard & the late, Maude Combs Maggard. Danny had been a resident of Leslie & Knott Counties. By occupation he was a coal miner. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Kentucky. Danny enjoyed gardening, canning, had a great work ethic, watching westerns, mechanic work and spending time with his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his beloved parents, cherished infant child, cherished daughter, Julie Dawn, brothers, Jimmy Darrell, Larry Odean & Freddie Wayne Maggard & sister, Loretta Jean Maggard Hughes and nephew, Chad L. Maggard. He leaves the following relatives surviving; loving & devoted wife, Lillian Caldwell Maggard, Hyden, KY, two cherished sons, Roger Dale Maggard & Danny Lyn Maggard both of Hyden, KY, two step-sons, Eugene Johnson, Hyden, KY & Gary Miniard, Hyden, KY, three brothers, Jerry Maggard & Gina, Louisville, KY, Terry Maggard, Smilax, KY and Gary Maggard & Sherry, Stinnett, KY, one sister, Brenda Maggard Morgan & Roy, London, KY, five treasured grandchildren, Cody Maggard, Dylan Maggard, Dalton Maggard, Sierra Maggard and Christopher Collier, five treasured great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, Raylyn and Austin, two step great grandchildren and special sister-in-law & care-taker, Linda Caldwell. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives & friends survive.

Services:

Funeral: Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, KY.

Minister: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis

Interment: Lewis-Maggard Cemetery (Levis Branch), Smilax, KY.

Pallbearers: Danny L. Maggard, Gary Maggard, Terry Maggard, Jerry Maggard, Matthew Begley, Dylan Maggard, Dalton Maggard, Christopher Collier and Nicholas Caldwell.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Church
