      Mr. Darryl Walters born October 18, 1951 departed this life on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Hyden Health and Rehab Center, Hyden, Ky.  Darryl was born in Mount Sterling, Ky., the son of the late James Walters and Margaret Carpenter Walters.  Darryl worked in Automotive Sales in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the majority of his adult life.  He was a devoted member of the Church of Christ.  Darryl had a passion for antique cars, having owned a 1955 Chevrolet  He enjoyed attending car shows, traveling & listening to bluegrass music and bluegrass gospel music. Darryl's greatest joy came from spending time with his family.   Darryl and his wife, Athelene moved back to Leslie County in 2015. Mr. Darryl Walters was preceded in death by his parents, James Walters and Margaret Carpenter Walters Graham.  Mr. Darryl Walters leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving and devoted wife, Athelene Wilson Walters of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, cherished step-children, Bryan North, Charles North & Salene North all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one cherished adopted granddaughter, Jaden Walters, treasured grandchildren, Chance North, Cheyenne Nyguyen, Tanner Nyguyen, Quintton North, Mary Ann North & Jaden Walters, treasured great-grandchildren, Lorali North, Kennedy North, aunts, Carol Pitts, Catherine Wilson, a special cousin, Joey Urley & a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
