David Brock

Mr. David Brock was born July 25, 1940 at Beverly, Kentucky. David is the son of the late Caudle Brock and the late Cynthia Belcher Brock. David passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at his residence. He was 83 years old. David had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation David was a retired coal miner and logger. David was a member of the Beechfork United Methodist Church at Helton, Kentucky. David enjoyed gardening as a hobby. He grew a large and prosperous garden every year. All the garden food fed his family as well as others in the community. Every year people would stop and buy his produce and make comments about his beautiful garden. He would also give his produce to others that would stop by for a visit. David was a UK wildcat fan. He enjoyed watching the cats play. He loved to rabbit hunt and run his beagles with his friends. Above all he loved his family. He enjoyed the holidays. The gifts wasnt the reason to be happy and excited it was to spend holidays with his family and watch them celebrate with a big dinner prepared by his family. He enjoyed cookouts with friends and family and loved sitting and talking with company. Although David will be missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now rejoicing in Heaven with all those that have gone before.

David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Caudle and Cynthia Belcher Brock, brothers, Samps, George, J.B., Whitt, Boyd, Luther & Clarence and sisters, Cora and a infant sister. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife, Kay Wilson Brock, Helton, KY, cherished son, Matthew David Brock and Pam, Helton, KY, cherished daughter, Kristin Lee Brock Collett and Kenny, Helton, KY, treasured grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Kaitlyn Morgan and Tyler, Sarah Kreitzer, Charley Brock and David Brock, treasured great grandchildren, Carson Wilson, Carter Wilson and Miles Morgan and one unborn as well, brother, Ray Brock, sister, Bessie Brock Perry, special brother-in-law, Bryan Wilson and Karen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Friday, April 26, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Kentucky

Interment: Dryfork Cemetery, Helton, Kentucky
