Dorothy Keen Williams, a beloved homemaker who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth, passed away on July 8, 2024, at the Greg & Noreen Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully departed this world.  Dorothy was a faithful and devoted . life-long ,member of the Ann C. Brush United Presbyterian Church, Dryhill, KY and also attended the Big Creek Baptist Church, Big Creek Ky. She was known for her elegance and grace, which carried over to her style in fashion.  She always was very well-dressed and thoroughly enjoyed shopping for clothing, shoes and accessories. Born on June 30, 1925, in Dryhill, Kentucky, Dorothy was known for her gentle spirit and unwavering to her family. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a loving and nurturing home for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her adoring parents, Lee and Louise Sizemore Keen; her beloved husband, Will Williams; her cherished infant daughter, Patricia Williams; her loving daughter, Bonnie W. Walker; her sisters Oda Baker, Nora Keen, and Sally Woods; her brothers, twin brothers, Charlie and Ray, Kermit, Earnest, Rex, Cecil & James Keen; as well as sons-in-law Raymond Walker and Jimmy Hughes. She is survived by her cherished son Kenneth Williams of Hazard, Kentucky; two beloved daughters Betty Neal (Donald) of Florence, Kentucky and Irene Hughes of Bonnyman, Kentucky; her sister Jean Hoskins of Vandalia, Ohio; seven treasured grandchildren: Kenneth Todd Williams, Kara Leigh Hudson (Stuart), Rebecca Gabbard (Major), Lynn Michelle Combs (Craig), Vicki Rae Nelke (Josh), Lisa Kay & Karin Neal and Timothy Darren Neal (Rebecca) along with eleven precious great-grandchildren, Haley, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Kevin, Charlie, Hadley, Wylie, Cleo, Ava, Levi & Leyton. Dorothy also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dorothy Keen Williams will be held on Saturday, July 13th at Walker Funeral Home in Hyden located at 155 Hickory Street. The visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. with Jerry Bailey officiating. The interment will follow at the Keen-Woods Family Cemetery at Dryhill, Kentucky. The following will serve as Pallbearers, Timothy Neal, Major Gabbard, Craig Combs, Stuart Hudson, Jimmy Lee Keen, David Lee Hoskins and Kenneth Todd Williams.

As we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman whose love knew no bounds, let us take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Dorothy. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
