THE OBITUARY OF MR. DOUGLAS ADAMS

    Mr. Douglas Adams of Hyden, KY. passed away Friday December 25, 2020. Douglas was 71 years old. Douglas was born December 7, 1949 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Cova Leon & Fannie Morgan Adams. Douglas had been a lifelong resident of Hyden,KY with the exception of 5 years in Jeffersonville, IN where he worked as a welder at JeffBoat. By occupation Douglas was a retired coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond Coal at Leatherwood. He was a member of Muncy Creek Baptist Church. Douglas was a member of the Redbud Arts Council, an avid outdoorsman & he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his treasured granddaughter, Quincy Marie of Lexington.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Roy (infant), Kensey, Kenneth & Dallas Adams & one sister, Joyce Adams Baker. He leaves the following relatives surviving; loving & devoted wife of 53 years Linda Gail Adams, sons Anthony (Tena) Adams of Lexington, KY, Tobey (Glenda) Adams of Lexington, KY, and beloved daughter, Robyn (Chanda) Colwell of Georgetown, KY, one treasured granddaughter, Quincy Marie Adams, Douglas loved each and every one of his daughters-in-law as his own.  Four brothers, Logan (Judy) Adams of New Lebanon, Oh., Allen Reed (Della) Adams of Hyden, KY., Leon (Connie) Adams of Stinnett, KY. And Roger (Kandy) Adams of London, KY, four sisters, Lorraine Adams Melton of Dayton, OH, Rose Adams Napier of Thousandsticks, KY, and Linda (Jim) Adams Barrett of Cincinnati, OH, and Charlene Adams Morgan of Stinnett, KY and a host of loved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Roy Paul Adams, Marcus Napier, Cova Michael Adams, Johnny Collett, Cody Adams, Chris Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers: Wade Feltner and Richard Kronk.
