Dwight Darwin Osborne, a hardworking coal miner with a strong work ethic, passed away on January 28, 2024, at Baptist Health - Lexington, KY. He was born on February 20, 1969, in Beaver Dam, KY. Dwight dedicated many years of his life to working as a coal miner at Whitaker Coal Co. He approached his work with diligence and determination, always displaying a remarkable work ethic. His commitment to his job was truly commendable.Beyond his career, Dwight was known for his outgoing personality and ability to easily make friends. He had a straightforward and truthful nature that endeared him to all who knew him. Dwight's sincerity and honesty are qualities that will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.One of Dwight's greatest joys in life was his passion for motorcycles. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and had an impressive skill in repairing motorcycles along with other household items, audio equipment, video equipment, and auto repair. He took great pride in his adeptness for fixing things and enjoyed working with his hands. When he wasn't tinkering with machinery, Dwight loved listening to music and watching movies.But perhaps Dwight's proudest accomplishments revolved around the relationships he formed with his family members. Dwight was especially close with his mother, Geri Sue, brother, David Wayne and sister, Rhonda. He had a special bond with his grandchildren and nephews that brought immeasurable joy to his life. The love he shared with them will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to witness it.Dwight is survived by his loving mother Geri Sue Stubblefield Sizemore of London, KY, beloved daughter Scarlet Elizabeth Wyatt of London, KY; cherished brother David Wayne Osborne and wife Rhonda of Hyden, KY; cherished sister Rhonda Renee Morgan and husband Anthony of Stinnett, KY, treasured grandchildren Kristopher Lantz Osborne and Kaden Jay Davis; as well as his special cousin Curtis Osborne.He was preceded in death by his father J.L. Osborne and step-father Carl Sizemore, as well as his son Norman J. Lantz Osborne.

The funeral service for Mr. Dwight D. Osborne  will be conducted 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday - January 31, 2024 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, 155 Hickory Street, Hyden, KY with Rev. Jerry McKinley Holland, Rev. Randy Woods, Rev. Danny Lee Holland & Rev. Bobby Wayne Holland. Friends may call for visitation from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. - Tuesday- January 30, 2024 at the funeral home. The interment will follow the funeral service at the John North Cemetery, Hyden, KY.  The following will serve as pallbearers:  Nephews, Craig Morgan, Justin Osborne, Aaron Osborne and others. You may offer your condolences to the family at our website.

Dwight's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn the loss of this kind-hearted and hardworking individual, let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
