Mrs. Edith Causey, age 86, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. She was born at Hazard, KY on January 4, 1936 the daughter of the late Benjamin "Tug" Combs and the late Margaret McKinney Combs. By occupation Edith was a homemaker and loving caregiver to her family. Edith had been a life-long resident of Leslie County and was a member of Cutshin Bible Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening but most of all spending time with her family. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, loving loving & devoted husband: James Causey, one grandson: Jack & his wife, Ashley Causey, four brothers: Jack combs, Charles Combs, Boyd Combs and Bobby Combs, two sisters: Rebecca Oliver and Annette Reaves. She leaves surviving the following relatives: two beloved sons: James Harold Causey and wife, Beverly of Wooton, KY, Gary Wayne Causey and wife, Edna of London, KY, one cherished daughter: Pamela Caldwell and husband Darrell of Yeaddiss, Ky, three sister-in-laws: Shirley Williams & James, Clara Combs and Denise Combs, two brothers-in-law, Robert Burns Oliver, Hershel Reaves, four treasured grandchildren: Justin Causey & Billie, Megan Caldwell, Ivan Causey and Bella Causey, seven treasured great-grandchildren: Katie, Heather, Arlow, Quentin, Abby, James and Hannah.
