      Mrs. Eileen Thomas born April 25, 1937 departed this life on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Ky.  She was 83 years old.  Eileen was born in Perry Co., Ky., the daughter of the late Hargis Gay & Eva Rice.  She was a homemaker & member of the Baptist Church.  Eileen enjoyed gardening, flower gardening & her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.  She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at Wooton, Ky. at the time of her death.  Mrs. Eileen Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, her loving and devoted husband, Jim Thomas, beloved sons, Monroe Thomas, James Aubrey Thomas, brothers, Hargis Gay, Rufus Gay, Bruce Gay, Finley Gay & sisters, Annie Couch, Minnie Gay & Haley Gay.  Mrs. Eileen Thomas leaves the following relatives surviving, treasured daughter, Janet Turner & Jack of Flemingsburg, Ky., cherished son, Floyd George Thomas of Wooton, Ky., sister, Hannah Short of Tennessee & host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren & other relatives and friends.  You may leave your condolences to the family @ www.dwaynewalkerfuneralhome.com
