Eugene Sizemore

Mr. Eugene Sizemore passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was 61 years of age. Eugene was born July 30, 1960 in Hyden, KY, the son of the late, Oakley Sizemore and the late Barbara Jean Bray Sizemore. Eugene had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. He enjoyed auctions, being outdooors, mushroom & rock hunting, camping, cookouts and spending time with his family especially his treasured grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his loving & devoted wife, Lydia "Joy Bell" Rice Sizemore and one special sister, Marlene Sizemore. He leaves the following relatives surviving; two cherished daughters, Jacquelyn Rice and husband, R.P., Buckhorn, KY and Malinda Campbell and husband, Arnold, London, KY, one special brother, Roger (Two Dale) Sizemore and wife, Donya, Hyden, KY, two special sisters, Diane Sizemore and Sherri Potter and husband, Shawn, four treasured grandchildren, Brayden, Keara, Tucker and Sarabella, three nieces, Jamie Kay Bailey and husband, Jamie, River Potter and Malena Sizemore, one nephew, Christopher Gibson, two great nephews, Trustin and Bryson and one very special great niece who Eugene shared his birthday with, Morgan Rice. Also a host of other relatives and friends survive. 

Funeral: Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Jerry Rice

Interment: Rice Family Cemetery, Elkhorn, KY.

Pallbearers: R.P. Rice, Arnold Campbell, Christopher Gibson, Jamie Bailey, Steven Osborne, Curtis Osborne and P.J. Trent

Visitation: Friday, March 18th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
