Evelyn Hoskins Roark

Mrs. Evelyn Hoskins Roark was born May 30, 1950 in Asher, KY. She was born to the late Alvin and Nancy Bowling Hoskins. She was a life long devoted member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God. She had strong faith and loved attending her church. She enjoyed working in the community, helping others, and never meeting a stranger. Her passion for keeping her family fed led to a career in cooking for others at the Stinnett Community Center followed by cooking for students at the Leslie County High School. She loved her life and everyone in it. Evelyn Hoskins Roark departed this life on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 71 years of age.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruth Bowling and Ozella Romaine Smith and 1 brother, Pat Hoskins.

Evelyn leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Julius Roark of Mozelle, KY., 4 daughters, Julie Roberts and Doug of London, KY., Teresa Roberts and Jerry of Hyden, KY., Monica Jackson and Shawn of London, KY. and Stacey Rodriquez and Anthony of Middlesboro, KY., 8 grandchildren, Shannon Roberts and Crystal, Darrell Roberts and Bree, Kendra Bailey and Cody, Kelly Roberts, Taylor Jackson, Cody Jackson, Kelsey Rodriquez and Julian Rodriquez, 1 expected great-grandchild, baby Bailey, 2 brothers, Jim Hoskins and Shirley of Morgantown, Indiana and Doyle Hoskins and Barb of London, KY., 1 sister, Betty Hoskins and Bobby of Asher, KY. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends. With a special mention of Mamaw's extra grand babies, McKenzie Washburn, Alex Washburn, Taylor Washburn, and her namesake, Evelyn Jane Washburn.

A celebration of life will be held at the Stinnett Gap Church of God, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1:00 P.M.

Interment: Roark family Cemetery, Mozelle, KY.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
