George Asher

Mr. George Asher passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. He was 74 years old. George was born April 7, 1947 at Yeaddiss, KY the son of the late Levi Asher & Rosa Holland Asher. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a coal miner & truck driver. George enjoyed hunting, fishing & restoration. 

George was preceded in death by his cherished parents and one sister, Maxine Asher. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife, Evelyn Asher of Yeaddiss, KY, two beloved sons, Buster Wayne Asher of Somerset, KY and Jeffery Lee Asher & Beverly of London, KY, two beloved daughters, Debera Asher of Hyden, KY and Eleisha Asher of Jackson, KY, two brothers, Lige Earl Asher of Hazard, KY and Winford Asher of Lexington, KY, two sisters, Marlene Fields & Leonard of Yeaddiss, KY and June Roberts and Bob of Frankfort, KY and six treasured grandchildren, Brian Wayne, Christopher Lee, Jessica Ann, Emerald Rochelle, Katelynn Alexandria and Raylan Jude. Special Sister-in-Law, Brenda Salyer, Jackson, Ky., Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. 

Funeral: Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Chris Sale

Interment: George Asher Family Cemetery, Yeaddiss, KY.

Visitation: Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
