Jearlene Coots Feltner, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her community, was born on June 12, 1946, in Hyden, Kentucky. She passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in her hometown, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was 78 years old.
Jearlene dedicated her life to her family, finding immense joy in spending time with them. She was known for her warm spirit and genuine affection for her loved ones. Her days were often filled with the simple pleasures of enjoying a cup of coffee and engaging in lively games of bingo, which brought her much happiness.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry Coots (Lisa) and Kevin Smith (April), as well as her daughters, Tina France and Ashley Campbell. Jearlene was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and delighted in being a great grandmother to nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Jearlene shared a wonderful bond with her siblings and is survived by her brothers, Odell Coots (Lorene), Arvel Coots, and Homer Jr. Coots, along with her sisters, Carolyn Coots (Jack) and Barbara Engle (James). She also leaves behind her best friends, Charlene Coots and Annette Maggard, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Jearlene was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Coots and Cindy Mitchell Coots; her sister, Norma Jean Collins; her brother, Arnold Coots; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Coots and Joyce Coots.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, as they carry forward the values of family and friendship she instilled in their lives.
Funeral: Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeaddiss, KY.
