Glenn Simpson, a cherished resident of Warbranch, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 26, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on October 19, 1947, in Leslie County, Glenn led a life that was deeply intertwined with the land and the logging industry, marking his career with resilience and dedication. He was the proud owner of Simpson Logging and part owner of G&S Logging (20 years), where he earned the respect of his peers for his commitment to quality and integrity in his work.
Beyond his professional life, Glenn had a profound appreciation for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He found joy in ginsenging, gardening, and squirrel hunting. His love for animals was evident in his care for dogs, which brought him happiness and companionship throughout his life.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Rita Simpson Sandlin and husband Michael; his brother, Corbett Simpson and wife, Vickie; his brother Jimmie Simpson and Vicky; his sister-in-law Faye Simpson; his granddaughter Katie Quillon and husband Chris; and his beloved grandson Jalon Sandlin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Simpson, and mother, Hannah Brock Simpson, who instilled in him the values he carried throughout his life. Glenn was also preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Mae Simpson, with whom he shared 53 loving years, and his brother, Charlie Simpson.
In celebration of Glenn's life, a graveside service will be held at Nolan/Simpson Cemetery in Warbranch, Kentucky, on December 1, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. with Tommy Hubbard officiating. All who knew Glenn are invited to honor his memory and the legacy of love and hard work he leaves behind.
