Harold Douglas "Bub" Bowling

Harold Douglas "Bub" Bowling passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at his residence at Hyden, Kentucky. He was 58 years old. Harold was born, January 22, 1965, the son of Clifton Bowling and the late, Patsy Melton Bowling. Harold had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation Harold was a welder. He was affliated with the Church of Christ. He enjoyed target practice, guns, re-loading, shooting & spending time with his family.

Harold was preceded in death by; his beloved mother, Patsy, cherished son, Steven McCager Napier, cherished grandparents, Lula McCoy Begley, Prentis Melton and Roy & Mallie Bowling and a host of aunts & uncles. He leaves the following relatives surviving; beloved father, Clifton Bowlng, Hyden, KY, loving & devoted wife, Shirley Mize Bowling, Hyden, KY, one cherished daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Dutton (William), Russell Springs, KY and special step-daughter, Regina Napier Fultz, cherished grandson whom he raised as a son, Steven (Sara) Napier, one brother, Clifton Bowling "Curly" (Angie), Hyden, KY, two sisters, Brenda Bowling Shepherd, Hyden, KY and Melinda Bowling Callahan (James), Wooton, KY, one special sister-in-law, Wilma Smith, three cherished grandchildren, Aiden Parker Dutton, Aislinn  Elise Dutton and Liam "Tater" Stead, treasured nieces & nephews, Sonnie Smith (Randy),  Paige Shepherd, Lyndsey Shepherd, Breanna Stratton, Rylan Simpson, Ella Marie Bowling and Brandon Smith and special friends, Rick Young, Shannon Shepherd & Slade Vanover. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 5:00-10:00 P.M. at the Hurts Creek Church of Christ, Hyden, KY.

Interment will be at a later date.
