Honorable Edmond Collett was born December 17, 1946 in Leslie County, KY. Edmond is the son of the late, Emanuel Collett and the late Edna Mosley Collett. Edmond passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 76 years old. Edmond had been a life long resident of Leslie County.
Edmond graduated from Berea university, Cumberland university, and University of Louisville. He was honorary captain of the Belle of Louisville. Edmond was awarded lifetime achievement award from U of L law school, Juris Doctor. Awarded outstanding young man of America for outstanding professional achievement.. He enjoyed genealogy and spending time working on his land. He took great pride in being president of the Leslie County Democratic Party.
Edmond was preceded in death by his beloved parents, his loving & devoted wife, Edith Smith Collett, one cherished daughter, Angela Lee Collett Feltner & one brother, Dexter Collett. He leaves the following relatives surviving; one cherished daughter, Mary Elizabeth Collett Hackworth and husband, James, Essie, KY, one brother, Alfred Collett and wife, Nila, Asher, KY and three treasured grandchildren, Harper Quinn Hackworth, Everly Brown Hackworth and Leeland Isaac Monroe Hackworth. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
Edmond was well known for his famous quote of "Thanks a Million."

Funeral: Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church, Essie, KY.
Ministers: Patrick Morgan, James Scott Boggs & Lonnie Fee
Interment: Feltner Family Cemetery, Essie, KY.
Visitation: Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at the Church
