Hubert Morgan, a beloved figure known for his dedication to his career and his family, peacefully passed away on March 29, 2025, in Wendover, Kentucky. He was 79 years old. He was born on April 16, 1945, in Hyden, Kentucky, and throughout his life, he made a profound impact on those around him.
Hubert pursued a commendable career at IBM Computers, where his expertise and commitment to technology left a lasting mark. He took great pride in his professional accomplishments but found as much joy in the simple pleasures of life. A true car enthusiast, he loved working on cars, embracing the challenge and satisfaction that came with each project.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, Hayes Morgan and Opal Morgan, as well as his sons, Gregory Morgan and Michael Morgan. He also mourned the loss of his brothers, Ronald Morgan, Ralph Morgan, and Tim Morgan, and his sisters, Barbara Morgan Stidham, Gayle Morgan Sizemore, and Katherine Morgan Mullins.
He leaves behind a cherished family who mourns his passing. Hubert is survived by his daughter, Kara Voccola and Tom, and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Morgan. He also leaves behind his brothers, Claude Morgan, and Debbie and Roger Morgan, and Rhonda, as well as his sisters, Glinda Morgan Anderson, and Lonnie and Chris Cooper, and Wayne. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Shelby Capasso, Brooke Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Nicolas Voccola, Daniel Voccola, and Lucas Voccola. In addition, Hubert is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Hubert Morgan will be remembered for his compassion, dedication, and the love he shared so freely with family and friends. His indelible spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know him.
