Ina Kay Williams, a cherished member of her community and a devoted family matriarch, passed away on November 29, 2024 at Hazard ARH Medical Center. Born on February 21, 1941, in Breathitt County, she lived a life characterized by warmth, love, and dedication. Ina Kay will be fondly remembered as the owner and operator of Williams Chevron, a role she fulfilled with pride for 20 years. Her friendly and outgoing personality allowed her to build lasting connections with patrons and friends alike, making her business a beloved establishment in the community.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ina Kaye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She nurtured her family with kindness and wisdom, creating a home filled with laughter and support. Ina is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Kenneth Williams.
Her legacy is reflected in her children: Kenneth Williams (Amy), Benjamin Scott Williams (Kasia), Brian Joseph Williams (Bobbi Jo), and Megan Combs (Greg). Ina's legacy will also live on through the following grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Grandchildren: Justin Joseph, Molly K. Williams, Sydney Williams, Matthew Williams, Chandler Williams, Katherine Williams, Brennan Combs, Jillian Combs, Joah Combs. Great-grandchildren: Alexis, Abigail, Camden, Daxton, and Liam.
Ina Kay's passions extended beyond work and family; she had a deep love for gardening, cooking, quilting, and canning. These hobbies brought her immense joy and allowed her to share her creativity and nurturing spirit with others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo Keith, her mother, Edna Oaks Keith, and a host of brothers and sisters who will surely welcome her with open arms.
The Celebration of Life visitation will be held on December 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home chapel in Hyden, Kentucky.
