James "Pete" Baker

James "Pete" Baker was born, January 20, 1940 in Leslie County, Kentucky the son of the late, Nola Gordon. James passed away, Monday, January 15, 2024 at his residence at Wooton, Kentucky. He was 83 years old. James had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked for Blue Diamond Coal Co. for 25 years. James was a member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church at Wooton, KY. James enjoyed repairing electronics. 
James is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nola Gordon, loving & devoted wife, Loretta Day Baker and brother, Sherman Baker. He leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished son, Eddie Baker & wife, Stephanie, Hazard, KY, treasured grandchildren, Karah Baker and MaKayla Stacy and a host of other relatives & friends survive.
Funeral: Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY

Interment: Day Family Cemetery, Wooton, KY.
Visitation: Mon. Jan. 22nd at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
