The Obituary of Mr. James Davidson

      Mr. James W. Davidson born April 4, 1950 departed this life on Monday, June 28, 2021 in Dickenson County, Virginia.  He was 71 years old.  James was born in Hyden, Ky the son of the late Mart Davidson & Goldie Cornett Davidson.  By occupation he was a owner and operator of Davidson's Garage, he was most recently driving long haul trucks and was an avid mechanic.  He enjoyed traveling, working hard, riding motorcycles and visiting with his friends and giving them a helping hand whenever he could. James took great pride in his children and grandchildren. James was a devoted member of the Hyden Masonic Lodge # 664. He enjoyed attending  Masonic Lodge meetings with his brother Masons. James was preceded in death by his parents, one cherished son; William Martin "Marty" Davidson,  three brothers: Donnie Davidson, Johnny  Davidson and Phillip Morgan, granddaughters: Tiffany Williams and Malia Davidson and by two great grandsons: Kyson Pennington and Easton Begley.  Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Vera Howard Davidson of Hyden, KY, one beloved son; Kenny Davidson and wife, Lorrie of Berea, KY,  one beloved daughter; Susanna Lewis and husband, Jordan of Big laurel, KY. daughter-in-law: Rhonda Davidson of Hyden, KY, special niece; Terra Davidson & Tanner Welch, six treasured grandchildren: Ryan Davidson & Chelsey, Raegan Davidson, Zachary Perry, Jordan Brock, Houston Brock and McKenna Davidson & a special friend, Terry Collins.  James leaves surviving a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. - Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Hyden, KY

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - Friday, July 2, 2021 at the funeral home chapel.

Masonic Services:  to be observed at 7:00 p.m. - Friday, July 2, 2021 at the funeral home chapel.

Place of Interment: Davidson Cemetery at Hyden, KY
