Jennifer Lynn Fortney

Jennifer Lynn Fortney, age 45, of Hyden, KY., departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. Jennifer was born December 17, 1973 in Harlan, KY., the daughter of Fred and Diana Wooton Fortney. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation she had worked for the Leslie Co. Board of Education & the Hyden-Leslie Water District. Jennifer enjoyed reading, motorcycle riding & spending time with her family & friends.

She was preceded in death by, paternal grandparents, Preston & Maude Stidham Fortney, maternal grandfather, Tinsley Wooton & paternal uncle, Preston Fortney, Jr. She leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted parents, Fred & Diana Fortney of Hyden, KY., beloved daughter, McKenzie Fortney Allen & husband, Brack of Fort Bragg, NC., brother: Brandon Fortney of Hyden, KY., maternal grandmother, Edna Wooton of Hyden, KY.,  nephew, Preston Fortney of Hyden, KY., niece, Bailey Fortney of Hyden, KY. & companion, James Fee & his children, Kelly Vines of GA. & Tyler Fee of TN. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Wednesday, May 15, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY. 

Minister: Brian Hubbard

Interment: Roberts Cemetery, Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: Troy Stidham, Rodney Stidham, Shayne Howard, Joey Caldwell, Eddie Fee & John Fee
