Jerry Lynn Farmer

Jerry Lynn Farmer was born February 8, 1961 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late, Melvin Farmer and the late Shelby Jean Couch Farmer. Jerry passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his residence. He was 62 years old. Jerry had lived in Perry County for the past few years. He had lived most of his life in Leslie County. By occupation Jerry was a retired coal miner. Jerry was an avid gun collector, UK basketball fan and in his younger days he loved to ride dirt bikes.  

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melvin & Shelby Jean Couch Farmer, infant son, Jon Lynn Farmer, paternal grandparents, Chester & Dorcas Howard Farmer and maternal grandparents, Doyle Couch & Opha Couch Whitaker. He leaves the following relatives surviving; one cherished son, Andrew Farmer (Crystal), Hyden, KY, one cherished daughter, Olivia Farmer, Hyden, KY, two treasured grandchildren, Sawyer Farmer & Saylor Farmer, one brother, Wendell Farmer, London, KY., one sister, Rhonda Farmer Osborne (David), Hyden, KY and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews & cousins survive.

Services:

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY. from 12:00 Noon-2:00 P.M. with a Graveside Service to follow at the Farmer Couch Family Cemetery located at Bear Branch, KY. with Pastor Ted Couch & Pastor Wayne Bowling officiating.
