Jerry Lynn Morgan, age 70, passed away on December 5, 2023, in Madisonville, KY. He was born on May 5, 1953, in Hazard, KY.
Jerry was a simple and down-to-earth man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. Jerry loved watching TV, especially wrestling matches that excited him with their thrilling action. He also enjoyed spending peaceful moments fishing where he could relax and connect with nature. Jerry had a deep affection for animals and always had a special place in his heart for them. Whether it was a loyal family pet or a wild creature residing in his surroundings, Jerry admired their beauty and respected their existence.
Being an outdoors enthusiast, Jerry found solace in working outside. Gardening and maintaining his backyard were activities that allowed him to spend quality time under the sun while appreciating the wonders of nature. However, above all else, Jerry cherished moments spent with his family. He fully embraced the importance of family bonds and treasured every second he got to be with his loved ones.
Jerry Morgan resided in Madisonville, KY for the past nine years since 2014. He made this place his home and became an integral part of the community during his time there. Jerry's warm presence will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
He is survived by his beloved son Jeremy Morgan and Sarah of Ohio. Additionally, Jerry is survived by his five brothers: Ronnie Morgan of Madisonville, KY; Carl Morgan of Busy, KY; David Morgan & (Paula) of Arkansas; Ricky Morgan & (Donna) of Central City, KY; Anthony Morgan & (Cathy) of Georgetown, KY; three sisters: Sharon Kapp & (Jerry) of TN; Shirley Brooks of Speedwell, TN; and Gloria Fugate & (Rufus) of FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Sophie, Shiloh & Stella, whose lives he enriched with his love and wisdom.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Morgan and Ruby Couch Morgan, as well as his brother Robert Joseph Morgan and his infant sister, Lucille Morgan.
Jerry Lynn Morgan's presence touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. May he rest in peace knowing that he will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
