Judy Lynn (Rowe) Keen was born in Pikeville, KY on October 31st , 1948. She died in Somerset, KY on January 22nd, 2025. Judy is a native of Pike County, Kentucky. She married Kenneth Wayne Keen in 1969 while they were both attending Eastern Kentucky University. Judy was a Registered Nurse by occupation.  She worked at Mary Breckenridge Hospital in medical surgery before serving as the administrator of Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Judy retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in 2022 where she had served as the Infection Control Nurse for over twenty years. 

Judy came out of retirement to help during the pandemic, a reflection of her Godly character and concern for the well-being of others. In her retirement, Judy loved quilting and working in her flower gardens. She also loved her two dogs, “Willie” and “Charlie.” Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Keen, parents, William and Ruth Rowe, and brother, Rusty Rowe. 

Judy is remembered and loved by the following relatives that she leaves behind: Brother, Mike Rowe and family, sister, Misty Potter and family, daughter, Kara Johnson, and grandchildren: Ellie Johnson, Jodi Johnson, and Emmett Johnson. Also, her son and daughter-in-law, Scot and April Keen, and grandchildren Jon Wiley Keen, Madison Keen, and Sadie Keen. By her own testimony, Judy said that her most important beliefs and highest values were her belief in God, His Holy Word, and redemption through the blood of Jesus. 

Judy was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. A memorial service will be held at the Creek Church in Somerset, KY on January 25th at 11:00a.m. Friends and family are invited to come celebrate her life.
