Katherine (Kathy) Pennington, 70, of Yeaddiss, Ky. went to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. Surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 15, 1949 in Hyden, KY. to Arzie Jones and Rhodella Kilburn Jones., of whom preceded her in death.
Kathy was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother and woman of Christian Faith who was affiliated with Solid Rock Bible Church of Cindy, Ky. and later with Smilax Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ of Smilax, Ky. Kathy loved the Kentucky Wildcats, Bingo and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Whom she adored. Most days you could find her watching Gunsmoke, Bonanza, American Pickers, snoozing through a UK game, or talking on the phone with her special friend Berthie Turner. She enjoyed the Family's yearly trips to Tennessee or random road trips as she loved to travel as well as hosting the traditional New Years eve party.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Arzie and Rhodella Jones. Four Sisters; Emma Jean Jones, Evelyn Pennington, Alta Feltner and Geraldine Jonson. Five Brothers: Lonnie Jones, Eugene Jones, Jimmy Jones, Clarence Jones, and Carlos Jones. Also by her first love and Husband, Johnny Luttrell, they were married in 1972 until his death in 1976, and her Second love and Husband, Jim Pennington, Married in 1980 until his death in 1984.
She leaves the following relatives surviving. One son; Jamie Luttrell and Krystal. Three daughters; Joy Luttrell, Jennifer Pennington-Shepherd, and Katie Anderson and Justin Willis. Six grandchildren; Shawn, Kassidy, Amber, Noah, Jaxon, and Maddox. One Sister; Betty Wooton, and one brother; Burt Jones. Special Friend; Berthie Turner, a special cousin; Yvonne Jones, special niece; Ann Livelsburger, special nephew; Bob Pennington, and special brother-in-law; Raymond Johnson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
