Mrs. Kathy Ann Wilder Asher passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY. She was 64 years old. Kathy was born February 19, 1957 in Hyden, KY., the daughter of the late, William "Billie" Wilder & Wanda Lee Morgan Wilder. Kathy had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. with the exception of living in Louisville, KY. from 1963-1976. By occupation she was a licensed beautician. Kathy was a member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, reading her Bible, watching WJLC, playing cards, surfing on the computer (facebook, etc.), genealogy, gardening, pulling pranks or jokes on people (a prankster), but most of all she loved her family especially her treasured nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her precious parents, Billie Wilder and Wanda Lee Morgan Wilder and a cherished infant brother, William Wilder, Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Pearl Asher, Jr. "P.J.", Hyden, KY., 2 cherished brothers, Eugene Wilder and wife, Shelby, Hyden, KY. and Eddy Wilder and wife, Teresa, Stinnett, KY., 1 sister, Billie Nicole Wilder Barger and husband, Jimmy, Danville, KY., step-son, Josh Asher, 4 treasured nephews, Dean Wilder and Chrissy, Jonathan Wilder and Brittany, Eric Wilder and Amy and Anthony Wooton, 4 treasured nieces, Jaydin Cash Barger, Michelle Collett and Delanie, Alicia Lewis and Craig and Hannah Wooton and J.J. Caldwell, 11 treasured great nephews and nieces, Dylan, Courtney, Brittany, Kassidy, Natalie, Carly, Kinly, Carter, Mia, Coralye and Jacoby, 1 uncle, Johnny Morgan, Jr. and wife, Bonnie and a host of cousins survive. Also special friends, Dr. Dan & Daughter.
Funeral: Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY.
Ministers: Rev. Ted Couch and Rev. Andrew Farmer
Interment: Laurel Fork Cemetery, Hyden, KY.
Pallbearers: Dean Wilder, Jonathan Wilder, Eric Wilder, Josh Asher, Wayne Simpson, Nate Simpson and Delanie Collett
Visitation: Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church
