Ken "Kenny" Osborne, passed away on Wed. May 31, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones at the Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. Kenny was 62 years old. He was born on August 2, 1960, in Hyden, KY, the son of Jack Osborne and the late. Ruth Burns Osborne. Ken grew up in Leslie County and was a life-long resident of the community.
He graduated from Leslie County High School and later worked as a coal miner and logger until his retirement. Kenny was known for his hard work and dedication. His love for his community of family and friends was evident at all the gatherings he attended.
Kenny had a passion for outdoor activities such as 4-wheeling and playing corn-hole. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. His warm personality and friendly nature made him a treasured member of any gathering.
Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, special maternal grandparents, Blanche Jones Holland, Virgil Burns, paternal grandparents, Ed Osborne & Etta Salyers Osborne and nephew, Blake Osborne. Ken will be dearly missed by his surviving family members: his father Jack Osborne of Hyden; sister Debbie Wilson of London; brothers Gary Osborne & (Patricia) of London, Greg Osborne & (Amanda) of Somerset; one nephew Darrin Wilson & (Maranda) of Manchester; four nieces Nikki Lewis of London, Brooke Bowling & (Brent) of Stinnett, Janelle Bruner & (Cain) of London, Taylor Paige Asher & (Blake) of Somerset; four great nieces Callie Lewis, Brielle Salyers, Hailey Bowling and Lyla Salyers; two great nephews Lincoln Bowling and Beaux Wilson.
Ken is also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends that have been touched by his kind spirit throughout his life. He will always be remembered as an adored member of the community who lived life with exuberance. The funeral service for Mr. Ken Osborne will be conducted 3:00 P.M. - Sunday - June 4, 2023 at the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry McKinley Holland officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 6-9p.m. - Saturday - June 3, 2023 at the Thousandsticks United Methodist Church and from 1-3p.m., the funeral hour Sunday - June 4, 2023. The Interment will follow in the Jack & Ruth Osborne Family Cemetery, Thousandsticks, Ky.
The following will serve as pallbearers, Darren Wilson, Brent Bowling, Rick Davidson, Charlie White, Ronnie Sandlin and Ronnie Long.
