Lester Nolan passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Helton, Kentucky. He was 71 years old. Lester was born October 2, 1951 at Warbranch, Kentucky, the son of the late, Bentley Nolan and the late, Alice Caldwell Nolan. Lester had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a coal miner having retired from Straight Creek Mining. Lester was a member of the Middlefork United Methodist Church at Helton, Kentucky. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed 4-wheeling & especially loved spending time with his cherished daughter, Crystal.

Lester was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bentley Nolan & Alice Caldwell Nolan, brother, Earl Nolan, father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rufus Short & Lena Mae Caldwell Short, cousin, Freddie Brock, brothers-in-law, Eugene Brock, Morris Howard & Owen Howard, nephew, Patrick Howard and niece, Rhonda Howard Earl. He leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished daughter, whom he loved with all his heart and soul, Crystal Valentina Nolan and her beloved mother, Sharlene Nolan Gross, friend, Rhonda Howard, friend & fishing partner, Bobby Hall, sisters-in-law, Vesta Simpson Nolan, Regina Brock, Betty Howard and Pansy Howard, brothers-in-law, Rev. Jack Short & wife, Lora and Robert Short & wife, Jackie, special niece, Gina Watts, special nephew, Johnny Nolan & a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins & friends survive.

Services:

Funeral: Saturday February 18, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Middlefork United Methodist Church, Helton, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Jamie Brunk, Rev. Ted Brock and Rev. Dwight Brock

Interment: Honey Branch Cemetery, Helton, KY.

Pallbearers: Bobby Hall, Robbie Dale Brock, Johnny Brock, David Short, John Houser and Cody Bray

Visitation: Sat. Feb. 18th at 12:00 Noon until 2:00 at the Church
