Linda Sue Mays

Linda Sue Mays, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the St Joseph Hospital in London, KY. She was born on June 17, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Anna Couch Meece and the late James Meece. She met and then married Russell Lee Mays Sr. September 16th, 1978. They spent 41 years together and had 8 children. Linda had been a resident of East Bernstadt, KY, for the past 11 years having moved from Cincinnati, OH. She was affiliated with the Holiness Church and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her father: James Meece, one son: Russell Mays, Jr., grandson: Emmanuel Malachi Mays. She leaves surviving her loving mother: Anna Couch Meece of East Bernstadt, KY, loving and devoted husband: Russell Mays, Sr.,  3 sons: Christopher Mays of Cincinnati, OH, Jason Mays of East Bernstadt, KY, and Cameron Mays (Natalie) of East Bernstadt, KY, 4 daughters: Candy Cook (Ricky) of Cincinnati, OH, Samantha Mays of East Bernstadt, KY, Amanda Biggs of Cincinnati, OH, and Jessica Mays of London, KY,  2  brothers: John Meece and William Meece both of Cincinnati, OH and 1 sister Patricia Harmon (Tom) of TN.,  father and mother-in laws: Leroy Mays and Bessie Harris of Hyden, KY. She also leaves surviving her 18 grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Linda loved her husband and children unconditionally.  She made a huge impact on many people and will be forever remembered and missed. The family is accepting donations to help with the cost of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made directly to the funeral home at 606-672-2320. Funeral: Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at the Hal's Fork Pentecostal Church, Bear Branch, KY.

Interment: Collins Family Cemetery, Bear Branch, KY.

Minister: Danny Holland

Pallbearers: Christopher Mays, Jason Mays, Cameron Mays, Kaleb Long, Ricky Cook & Mark Meece

Visitation: Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church
