MacArthur Muncy

Mr. MacArthur Muncy passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his residence at the age of 79 years old. He was born in Leslie County, KY on July 4, 1943 the son of the late Levi Muncy and the late Stella Brock Muncy. By occupation MacArthur was a Self-Employed Sporting Good Store owner.  MacArthur served honorably in the United States Army. He had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Pennsylvania for 13 years. MacArthur enjoyed hunting, gardening, carpentry, but he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. MacArthur was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Rufus Muncy and Johnny Napier, and by one sister: Hallie Wilson. He leaves surviving the following relatives, his beloved wife whom he married on July 17, 1964, Marie Yingst Muncy of Warbranch, KY,  two cherished daughters: Angela Muncy & Kenny of Danville, KY and Dianna Muncy Blanton & husband Britt of Baxter, KY, seven beloved grandchildren; Steven, Chris, Lakota, Kendyll, Kamryn, and Kaycee. And his pride and joy special grandson Brandon Muncy. MacArthur leaves surviving a host of other treasured relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES: 1:00 p.m. - Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, KY.

VISITATION: 11:00 a.m. Friday - July 22, 2022 at the funeral home chapel.

OFFICIATING MINISTER: John Newell

PLACE OF INTERMENT: KY Veteran Cemetery Southeast in Hyden, KY.

PALLBEARERS:  Kenny Hicks, Britt BLanton, Chris Brown, Chris Pritchard, RicHard Evans and lakota Brummett.
