Marilyn Katherine Cornett

Marilyn Katherine Cornett of Keavy, KY. formerly of Wooton, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at the age of 71. Marilyn was born at Wooton, KY., the daughter of the late, Earl Edwards & Jennie Hendrix Edwards. By occupation Marilyn was a LPN & had worked for the Laurel Heights Nursing Home. She was a member of the Lily Church of Christ. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, crocheting & spending time with her family.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Jennie Hendrix Edwards, loving & devoted husband, Bill Cornett, sister, Fannie Hammack & brother, Orie Dale Edwards. She leaves the following relatives surviving; 2 beloved daughters, Delena R. Plyler (William) of Keavy, KY. & Tracy Allison Cornett of Keavy, KY., 4 sisters, Earletta Baker of New Salisbury, IN., Carolyn Cornett of Wooton, KY., Vonnie Combs of VA. & Dinna English of Keavy, KY. & 2 treasured grandchildren, Joseph B. Sherman & Dylon C. Sherman. Also a host of nieces, nephews other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, November 13, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Russell Baker & Billy Burke

Interment: John R. Hendrix Cemetery, Wooton, KY.

Pallbearers: Ronnie Baker, Wayne Grant, William Plyler & Joseph Sherman

Visitation: Wednesay, November 13, 2019 @ 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at the Funeral Home Chapel
