Mary Laverne Lewis

Mrs. Mary Laverne Lewis of Yeaddiss, passed away at her residence Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was 53 years old. Mary was born September 9, 1968 in Paris, KY., the daughter of the late, Robert Shields & Opal Baker Shields. Mary had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation she had worked as a CNA & postal worker. Mary was a member of the Holiness Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing with her dog "Peaches" & her animals, 4-wheeling, boating, going to the ocean & especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her cherished parents, one treasured grandson, Robert Couch & sister, Wilma Walker. She is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Jimmy Lewis, Yeaddiss, KY., 2 beloved sons, Michael Couch & Kaylee, Busy, KY., and Rusty Lewis, Whitesburg, KY., 2 beloved daughters, Angel Lewis, Yeaddiss, KY. & Christy Dixon & Mike, Whitesburg, KY., 1 brother, Billy Sizemore, Hyden, KY., 2 sisters, Brenda Vice & Jim, Flemingsburg, KY. and Nannie Mitchell & Timmy, Hyden, KY., 6 treasured grandchildren, Mason Lewis, Hayden Frazier, McKenna Frazier, Addilyn Couch, Joshua Couch & Michael John Couch, mother-in-law & father-in-law, Nola & Paul Joseph, brothers-in-law, Terry Joseph & Valerie & Michael Lewis & Sandy, sisters-in-law, Teresa Couch & Kenny, Renee Bailey & Darrell and Joyce Whitaker & Mike and best friend, Kimberly Gross. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Jerry McKinley Holland & Rev. Terry Joseph

Interment: Adams-Baker Cemetery, Yeaddiss, KY.

Visitation: Friday, October 22, 2021 at 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
