Mary Michelle Welch

Mary Michelle Welch, a homemaker,  was born on May 16, 1975, in Jackson County, Kentucky. She departed this life on August 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that be cherished by all who knew her.

Mary Michelle spent her days nurturing her family, finding joy and fulfillment in the company of her cherished daughters, Kaylee Hurst (Josh) and Kaitlyn Hurst, both of Yeaddiss, Kentucky. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother, doting on her three treasured grandchildren, Elijah, Aston, and Kash. The bonds she formed with her family were deep and enduring, reflecting her loving spirit and unconditional support.

In addition to her immediate family, Mary Michelle is survived by her step-father, Homer Coots, Jr. of Yeaddiss, Kentucky, three brothers, Rocky Welch (Linda) of Wooton, Kentucky, Kyle Welch, and Tyler Welch, both of Tennessee, and one sister, Lasha Welch of Tennessee. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.

Throughout her life, Mary Michelle engaged in a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved arts and crafts, often dedicating time to coloring and creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creative spirit. She also enjoyed playing Candy Crush, finding moments of entertainment and relaxation in the game.

Mary Michelle will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the genuine love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roy Welch and Margaret Harris Coots, and her sister, Wendy Baker.

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Kentucky
